Series 302; 4 Flute; Ground Thread

Carbon steel hand taps are designed for hand tapping in maintenance and repair work and for re-threading applications where extreme thread accuracy and tolerance is not important.

Taper taps (Starter) distribute the cutting across 7 - 10 threads. Used for starting a threaded hole.
Plug taps (Middle), most commonly used, distribute load across 3 - 5 threaded of chamfer.
Bottom taps have only 1 - 1-1/2 threads of chamfer and are used to tap to the bottom of a blind hole.
Set contains all three of the above.
