FAQ

What nut fits a 3/8-24 bolt?
A 3/8-24 fine thread hex nut, Grade 5 or higher. A coarse thread 3/8" nut will not fit.

What do USS coarse and SAE fine thread mean?
USS (UNC) coarse thread has fewer threads per inch and is the general purpose standard; it assembles fast and is less likely to cross thread. SAE (UNF) fine thread has more threads per inch, which gives a little more strength and finer adjustment, and is common on vehicles and machinery. The nut must match the thread.

How is the length of a hex bolt measured?
From under the head to the end of the bolt. The head is not included.
