FAQ

Can I cut threaded rod to length?
Yes. Thread a nut on first, cut with a hacksaw, band saw or cut-off wheel, then file the end and back the nut off. Backing the nut off cleans up the first threads at the cut.

Can I weld plain steel threaded rod?
Yes. Low carbon steel welds easily, and the plain finish has no zinc coating to burn off.
