Wing Nuts

Wing nuts have two flat "wings" so you can tighten and loosen them by hand, with no tools. They are a good fit for anything you take apart often, like covers, clamps, fixtures and equipment you adjust or set up and break down. Ours are zinc plated from #6-32 to 5/8"-11.

FAQ

Can I tighten a wing nut with a tool?
They are designed for hand tightening. Using pliers can bend the wings, so if a joint needs more torque, use a hex nut.

Do wing nuts loosen from vibration?
They can. For joints that vibrate, add a lock washer or choose a lock nut.
