Galvanized Dock Washers

Dock washers are heavy duty, hot dip galvanized steel washers with a large outside diameter and 3/16" to 3/8" thickness. They spread the load of a bolt over a wide area of timber, so the nut doesn't crush into the wood. The galvanized finish holds up outdoors and around water. We stock sizes from 3/8" x 2-1/2" to 1" x 4".

FAQ

What bolts should I use with galvanized dock washers?
Use hot dip galvanized bolts and nuts. Mixing galvanized washers with plain or zinc plated bolts outdoors leads to rust on the less protected parts.

Dock washer or square plate washer?
Both spread load on timber. Square plate washers cover more area for the same width and resist turning. Round dock washers are easier to fit near edges.
