Zinc plated metric serrated flange lock nuts made to DIN 6923, standard pitch. Serrations under the flange bite into the surface and lock the nut without a separate lock washer. We stock M6 x 1.0, M8 x 1.25, M10 x 1.5, M12 x 1.75; M6, M8 and M12 are Class 8, M10 is Class 10.

Serrated flange nuts bite into the surface and resist loosening. Plain flange nuts won't scratch painted or soft surfaces.
Do serrated nuts need a washer?
No. A washer under the serrations would stop them from locking.
