What nut fits a 1/4-28 Grade 8 bolt?
A 1/4-28 Grade 8 fine thread hex nut or lock nut. A coarse thread 1/4" nut will not fit.

How do I know a bolt is Grade 8?
Grade 8 bolts have 6 radial lines on the head, plus the manufacturer's mark. Grade 5 has 3 lines and Grade 2 has none.

How is the length of a hex bolt measured?
From under the head to the end of the bolt. The head is not included.
