FAQ

How do I tell standard from fine pitch?
Measure the distance between threads with a thread gauge. An M10 standard pitch bolt is 1.5mm; fine pitch M10 is 1.25mm or 1.0mm. The nut must match the bolt pitch.

What does M8 x 1.25 mean?
M8 is the thread diameter in millimeters and 1.25 is the thread pitch, the distance in millimeters from one thread to the next. Standard (coarse) pitch is the most common; fine pitch has the threads closer together.

How do I stop stainless threads from galling?
Stainless threads can seize (gall) when tightened fast or dry. Use an anti-seize compound, tighten at a slower speed, and do not over tighten.
