Galvanized threaded rod (all thread) is fully threaded steel rod with a hot dip galvanized coating for outdoor and wet locations. It is used for anchor bolts, tie rods, dock and pier hardware, and any custom-length bolt. We stock 3 ft and 6 ft lengths from 3/8"-16 up to 1-1/2"-6, 10 ft and 12 ft lengths by quote, and we cut custom lengths.

FAQ
Can I use a regular zinc plated nut on a galvanized bolt?
No. Hot dip galvanizing adds a thick zinc coating to the threads, so galvanized nuts are tapped slightly oversize to fit. A standard nut will bind or not thread on. Use galvanized nuts with galvanized bolts.
Can you cut galvanized rod to length?
Yes. Contact us with the size, length and quantity. Cut ends should be touched up with cold galvanizing compound.
