FAQ

What is the difference between an acorn nut and a cap nut?
They are the same part. The domed top closes off the end of the bolt for a neat, safe finish.

How long should the bolt be?
The bolt must stop short of the inside of the dome. If it bottoms out, the nut will not tighten against the part.

Do brass fasteners rust?
No. Brass contains no iron, so it does not rust. It will tarnish and darken over time, especially outdoors. Polish it to keep it bright or let it age to a natural patina.
