What is the working load limit of a 3/8" forged eye bolt?
1,200 lb for in-line pull, with a 5:1 safety factor. Do not load it at an angle.

Which length 3/8" eye bolt do I need?
Pick a shank long enough to pass through the material with room for the washer and nut, plus a couple of threads past the nut. Thread lengths and overall lengths for every part number are on the Data Sheet (PDF).

Can I use a 3/8" regular nut eye bolt for an angled lift?
No. Regular nut eye bolts are non-shouldered and rated for vertical, in-line loads only. For angled loads use a shouldered eye bolt or a swivel hoist ring.
