FAQ

What is a set screw shaft collar?
A solid steel ring that fits over a round shaft. A set screw threaded through the side of the collar presses against the shaft to hold the collar in place and stop parts from sliding along the shaft.

How do I choose the right size?
Match the first number (inside diameter) to your shaft diameter. For example, a 1/2" x 1" collar fits a 1/2" shaft and is 1" across the outside.

What tool tightens the set screw?
A hex (Allen) key: 3/32" for 1/4" and 5/16" collars, 1/8" for 3/8" to 9/16", 5/32" for 5/8" to 1", and 3/16" for 1-1/8" to 1-1/2". See the data sheet for full dimensions.
