FAQ
Can I cut threaded rod to length?
Yes. Thread a nut on first, cut with a hacksaw, band saw or cut-off wheel, then file the end and back the nut off. Backing the nut off cleans up the first threads at the cut.
How do I join two pieces of threaded rod?
Use a rod coupling nut with the same thread. Thread each rod about halfway into the coupling nut so both ends have equal engagement.
Does threaded rod qualify for flat fee or free shipping?
No. Threaded rod does not qualify for $10.95 flat fee shipping or free shipping. We contact you with a discounted shipping charge for your approval before your order ships. 10' and 12' rods ship by motor freight.
