FAQ

How do I measure a U-bolt?
Four numbers describe a U-bolt: A is the rod diameter and thread, C is the inside width between the legs, B is the inside length from the inside of the bend to the end of the legs, and T is the thread length on each leg. Our data sheets show all four for every stock size.

What do I need to send for a quote?
Shape (square or round bend), quantity, material and finish, rod diameter and thread (A), inside width (C), inside length (B) and thread length (T).

Do custom U-bolts come with nuts?
Tell us on the quote request. We can supply them with nuts, washers or plates as needed.

Which finish should I choose?
Zinc plated steel is good for indoor and dry or sheltered outdoor use. Hot-dip galvanized steel has a much thicker zinc coating for outdoor, wet and marine-area use. 18-8 stainless steel resists rust best and is the choice for wet, marine and food areas.
