1/4-20 Grade 5 hex head cap screws, USS coarse thread, zinc plated, in lengths from 1/2" to 6". They take a 7/16" wrench. Short lengths are fully threaded (FT) and longer lengths are partially threaded (PT) with about 3/4" of thread.

What nut fits a 1/4-20 bolt?
A 1/4-20 Grade 5 hex nut (or a nylon insert lock nut) in the same coarse thread. Use a 1/4" flat washer under the nut.

Full thread or partial thread?
Short lengths are fully threaded (FT). Longer lengths are partially threaded (PT), with a smooth shank under the head. Thread length on a partially threaded bolt is about twice the diameter plus 1/4" for lengths up to 6", and twice the diameter plus 1/2" for longer lengths.

How is the length of a hex bolt measured?
From under the head to the end of the bolt. The head is not included.
