FAQ
Who makes these cable ties?
They are made by Advanced Cable Ties, Inc., a family-owned American manufacturer founded in 1994. Every tie is injection molded at their 112,000 sq. ft. plant in Gardner, Massachusetts.
Why UV black?
Standard natural nylon breaks down in sunlight. UV black ties are made from weather resistant, UV stabilized nylon 6/6, so they last much longer outdoors.
How do I choose the right cable tie?
Pick a length long enough to wrap the bundle with some tail left over, then pick a tensile rating above the load the tie will hold. Use the 18 lb. ties for light wire bundles, 50 lb. for general purpose work, 120 lb. for larger bundles, and 175 lb. heavy duty ties for hoses, pipe and large bundles.
