Round Bend U Bolts - Plated Steel

Zinc plated steel round bend U-bolts in 45 stock sizes, from 1/4"-20 x 9/16" to 1"-8 x 18-1/8" inside width. Each is made in the U.S.A. and supplied with 2 plated hex nuts. The 3/4" to 1" sizes are full stock diameter with cut threads. See the data sheet for every A, B, C and T dimension.

FAQ

What does pipe size mean on a round bend U-bolt?
Pipe size is the nominal pipe size the U-bolt is made to fit. Nominal pipe size is not the actual outside diameter, so a U-bolt listed for 1" pipe has an inside width (C) sized for the 1.315" outside diameter of 1" pipe. For tubing or round bar, choose by inside width instead.

How do I measure a U-bolt?
Four numbers describe a U-bolt: A is the rod diameter and thread, C is the inside width between the legs, B is the inside length from the inside of the bend to the end of the legs, and T is the thread length on each leg. Our data sheets show all four for every stock size.

Do I need a plate?
A plate is optional. It spreads the load and gives the nuts a flat bearing face. Plated U-bolt plates are sold separately, or buy the plated U-bolts with plates.

Which finish should I choose?
Zinc plated steel is good for indoor and dry or sheltered outdoor use. Hot-dip galvanized steel has a much thicker zinc coating for outdoor, wet and marine-area use. 18-8 stainless steel resists rust best and is the choice for wet, marine and food areas.
