E-Z Lok Brass Wood Inserts - USS Coarse Thread

Installation 

Drill hole using size chart below.	Thread insert into hole using a screw driver or a bolt. Install 1/16” to 1/8” below surface for optimum pull out strength.	Position the attaching part and install a bolt or screw.

FAQ

How do I install an E-Z Lok wood insert?
Drill the hole size shown in the chart, thread the insert in with a screwdriver or a bolt and jam nut, and set it 1/16" to 1/8" below the surface for the best pull out strength.

Can I use a bolt to install them?
Yes. Thread a bolt and jam nut into the insert, drive it in with a wrench, then remove the bolt. Keep the insert straight as it starts.

What is the difference between USS coarse and SAE fine thread?
Coarse (USS/UNC) thread has fewer threads per inch, such as 1/4-20, and is the most common. Fine (SAE/UNF) thread has more threads per inch, such as 1/4-28. A nut must match both the diameter and the thread count of the bolt or rod.
