Grade 8 (C) Torque Lock Nut (SAE) Fine

These Grade 8 (C) Stover lock nuts have SAE fine thread. They are all-metal prevailing torque nuts: the top threads are slightly deformed so the nut grips the bolt and stays tight under vibration and heat. They are zinc plated and waxed, and they match Grade 8 fine thread bolts on vehicles and heavy machinery. Sizes run from 1/4"-28 to 1"-14.

Stover lock nut or nylon insert lock nut?
Choose Stover nuts for high heat or when you want an all-metal lock. Nylon insert nuts thread on more easily and are gentler on bolt threads.

The wax coating reduces friction so the nut runs onto the bolt more smoothly and torque readings are more consistent.
