Hex Jam (Thin) Nuts - (SAE) Fine Thread

Hex Jam (Thin) Nuts - (SAE) Fine Thread

Fine thread (SAE) hex jam nuts are thin, zinc plated nuts for fine thread bolts, studs and adjusting rods. They are often used on tie rod ends and linkages to hold an adjustment, or anywhere a full height nut won't fit. Fine thread makes small adjustments easier and holds well under vibration. We stock sizes from 1/4"-28 up to 1-1/2"-12, including popular sizes like 3/4"-16 and 1"-14.

FAQ

Do you carry metric jam nuts?
This page lists inch-size fine thread jam nuts. For metric sizes, see our Metric Fasteners section.

What is the difference between a jam nut and a regular nut?
A jam nut has the same thread and wrench size, but it is thinner. It is made for locking, spacing or tight spaces rather than carrying the main load.
